HIV TESTING/COUNSELING
Shiawassee County Health Department offers free, confidential HIV testing. Results are available within 25 minutes. Rapid HIV testing is conducted by a public health nurse who is certified to conduct testing and counseling. Call for an appointment at (989) 743- 2356.
SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS (STIs)
SCHD can assist you with confidential testing, treatment, and education for sexually transmitted infections; services available regardless of patient’s ability to pay. Male and female testing and treatment is available.
STI testing is private and confidential. SCHD partners with Convenient Urgent Care to provide testing.
While parent participation is encouraged, teens under 18 can seek STI treatment and counseling without parent consent.
